On the 8^th of May, 2010 the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Yemen H.E. Mr. Vladimir Trofimov and the Deputy Chief of the Yemeni General Staff Brigade General Sharaf Mohammed Ahmed laid wreaths to the Memorial dedicated to the memory of the Russian military specialists who died while assisting the friendly Yemeni people. The event was timed to the 65^th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Russian Embassy in Yemen, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense and a number of foreign military attaches accredited in Sana'a.
